Abstract: Polynomial projection, initially
identified in the early 1990’s as a means affording the applicability
of a modified Picard numerical scheme identified three years earlier,
has provided a centerpiece for a theory that, as it has ripened, has
provided continuing insights into broader arenas for its applicability.
Paralleling these developments have been continuing improvements in the
numerical schemes that have followed from understanding modified
Picard. In this talk, we offer an expository description of the state
of polynomial projection as of August, 2008, and state some of the
questions (mostly still unanswered) that were addressed by the seminar.
