STATISTICS AT JMU

Minor in Statistics

The minor in statistics is open to any student not majoring in mathematics or statistics. Each student must obtain prior approval of the courses to be counted in the minor from the statistics minor advisor, Dr. Nusrat Jahan (Roop 319, (540)568-4074) . A minor in statistics requires a minimum of 18 credit hours.

REQUIREMENTS
MATH 322: Applied Linear Regression. 3 CR.

MATH 220: Elementary Statistics. 3 CR.
MATH 318: Introduction to Probability and Statistics. 4 CR.
Introductory Statistics course equivalent to 220 or 318.
