Function War
Object of the Game: To be the first player to win all 52 cards or to obtain the most cards (if the game is timed).
Number of Players: 2 or more
Number of Cards: 52
The rules of Function War are very similar to the card game war. The first order of ranking is relations that are functions have a higher rank than non-functions. The second order of ranking is based on the suits. (ª-equations, ¨- graphs, ©- mapping, and last §-table/order pairs)
Deal out all cards. Players do not look at their cards, but keep them face down.
All players turned over their top card face up and put them on the table. Whoever turned over the highest function takes both cards and adds them face down on the bottom of their packet. Then the players turn up their next card and so on.
If the turned up cards are equal (equal meaning: same suit and both functions or both non-functions) there is a war. The tied cards remain face up on the table and all players play the next card of their pile face down, and then another card is faced-up. Whoever has the higher of the new face-up cards win the war and adds all the cards played to their packet. If the new face-up cards are equal as well, the war continues. Otherwise you continue to play as before.
The game continues until one player has all the cards and wins.
